The Country Brocante Fair returned to the incredible Daylesford Organic Farm in the Cotswolds at the weekend and we were so pleased to be one of the exhibitors. The Brocante has mainly independent traders, all providing a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in a ‘quintessentially English country garden shopping’ atmosphere.
The marquees were packed with decorative antiques, and vintage home ware, and the garden galleries filled with wonderful garden treasures. The brocante had an abundance of interesting decorative interiors, vintage home ware, artisan designers, plants and flowers, old garden tools and accessories, simple French enamelware and piles of exquisite antique fabrics and quilts.
And of course, there was always plenty of tea and cake!
As usual, it was an early start on Friday and we set off with two vehicles packed to the hilt with our collection of furnishings and display units. I always worry about the fragile items such as the bespoke lampshades, and large lamp stands! After a long drive, we arrived with everything safe and intact. And proceeded to unpack and set our stall up.
One of the things I enjoy is browsing through the other stalls before the show opens, and watching the frantic activity from every stallholder. The stalls this year were incredible and sadly I could not take photos of everyone. But here are a few of my favourite.
