Spring has decided to arrive slowly, with a stumbled yawn this year, amid interludes of exceptional bitterly cold days, snow and frosty ice, before we find ourselves with a few days of sun and warmer breezes again. For now, just a week after the cold blast of snow returned for the second time in a month, the sun has returned, transforming the crispness of Winter frost in to a carpet of vibrant colour. For a moment. Spring is in the air, and the birds are singing with renewed joy as they feel the warmth of the sun on their wings again, and the Spring carpet of tulips, crocus and daffodils are popping their heads up once again, with hesitance and anticipation.
In the middle of this seasonal confusion, just some of the Spring fabrics available from us, designed by Peony & Sage and inspired by Summers in Italy. Gorgeous with hints of dusky old creams, palest rose pinks and dove greys on the walls, vintage inspired cottages, with roses around the front door, and swathes of lavender and creeping thyme alongside old paths disappearing out of sight amongst the trees in the garden.
For the briefest of moments, Spring has finally arrived ….
